Hello everyone! Here I come with yet one more entry of my blog. After the game inspired in the tale of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms from the last entry, in this entry we are going to switch back once again to the Tactic RPG genre, and just like with Tingle´s Rosy Rupeeland and Valyrie Profile Covenant of the Plume, I’m going to talk about a game that belongs to a relatively well-known series in the industry (although it has been missing for quite a few years now) and that went relatively unnoticed at the moment of its released. However, I do believe the game had enough equality to be considered as one of the best titles in the genre at the moment. The game is called Onimusha Tactics. Let’s see what this Tactic RPG game based on Capcom’s popular samurai and demon franchise has to offer.

¡Hola a tod@s! Vamos allá con otra nueva entrada. Tras el juego de combates inspirado en la historia del Romance de los Tres Reinos del que os hablé en la última entrada, para esta nueva vamos a cambiar de nuevo de género y vamos a volver una vez más al género del rol táctico con un juego que, al igual que en los casos de Tingle´s Rosy Rupeeland y Valyrie Profile Covenant of the Plume, pertenece a otra saga de cierto renombre en la industria a pesar de llevar ya unos años completamente desaparecida, y que en su momento fue eclipsado por otras sagas mucho más consagradas, no obstante, opino que el juego atesoraba la suficiente calidad como para tenerle en cuenta como uno de los mejores representantes del género en su momento. El juego en cuestión se llama Onimusha Tactics. Veamos qué nos ofrece juego de rol táctico inspirado en el universo de la franquicia de samuráis y demonios de Capcom.

Hello everyone! How are the combats going with the game from the last entry? A couple of entries back I talked about the Banner Saga, a tactical RPG game inspired on the Scandinavian folklore, and in this new entry I´m going to talk about yet another game based in the North European myth and legends, however, this time around we will do with a story told from a Japanese point of view. In fact, this game belong to one of the most veteran JRPG series, and, although in this blog I try no talk about popular series, just like in the case of Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, in this case we are talking about a game that, despite belonging to a reputed series, the platform and time in which the game was released probably made it go unnoticed for many players despite the title´s quality. The game is called Valkyrie Profile Covenant of the Plume. Let´s see what this little great game has to offer.

¡Hola a tod@s! ¿Qué tal van los combates con el juego de la última entrada? Un par de entradas atrás os hablé sobre The Banner Saga, un juego de rol estratégico inspirado en la mitología escandinava, y en esta nueva entrada voy a hablaros de otro juego de rol táctico inspirado también en los mitos y leyendas del norte de Europa, solo que en esta ocasión lo haremos con una historia nórdica contada a la japonesa. De hecho, es un juego que pertenece a una de las sagas de rol más veteranas y consagradas del país nipón, y aunque en este blog no suelo hablar sobre sagas consagradas, al igual que pasaba con Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, en este caso se trata de un juego que a pesar de pertenecer a una reputada franquicia, la plataforma a la que fue destinado y la época en la que fue lanzado hicieron que quizá pasara desapercibido para muchos jugadores a pesar de la gran calidad que atesoraba el título. Hello everyone! How are the combats with the beautiful ladies from the last entry going? Have you been able to pull a few flashy combos already? For this new entry we will switch to an entirely different genre and style. In this blog I have already talked about several games funded through the popular crowdfunding website of Kickstarter, such as Mercenary Kings, Valdis Story o Darkest Dungeon, all of them clear examples of how to make great games without the need (relatively) of spending a fortune, and is in this new entry I’m going to talk about yet another game that was funded through Kickstarter and that is about to receive its second installment after the first one was unanimously praised by the critics worldwide, although perhaps many of you still don’t know this game, after all, it is not one of those titles that get one of those massive marketing campaigns that many of the big boys of the industry get. The game I’m talking about is called The Banner Saga. Let’s see what this little gaming gem inspired in the tales and folklore of the icy lands of the north of Europe has to offer.

En este blog he hablado ya de varios juegos financiados a través del famoso portal de Kickstarter dedicado al crowdfunding, como por ejemplo Mercenary Kings, Valdis Story o Darkest Dungeon, todos ellos grandes ejemplos de cómo hacer grandes juegos sin gastarse (relativamente) una fortuna, así que aprovechando el reciente lanzamiento de su segunda entrega, en esta nueva entrada os voy a hablar de otro juego financiado por los fans a través del portal de Kickstarter y que ha arrasado entre la crítica especializada del sector, aunque quizá muchos aún no lo conozcáis, pues no es de esos juegos se que anuncian a bombo y platillo. In this entry we are going back to the current times, but we do it with a game that also follows a formula that has been around for many years in the industry and of which I have already talked about in the entries of games like Yatagarasu, Chaos Code, Ougon Musou, Vanguard Princess, Dark Awake or Phantom Breaker. Hello everyone! In the last entry I talked about Crimson Gem Saga, a JRPG inspired on the classics from the 16/32-bit era, and in this entry we are going to travel back in time even further. To be more precise, we are going to travel back till the magical 8-bit era, an era full of blocky pixels and catchy chiptunes that would mark the beginning of our virtual adventures for many of us, and in which many classics that still influence the industry nowadays were born, such as Mario Bros, Dragon Quest o Final Fantasy among many others.
