Hello everyone! A few entries back I talked about Valdis Story, a “Metroidvania” indie game that was funded through the popular Kickstarter website, a website dedicated to the crowdfunding that has contributed to fund some recent indie gems such as Shovel Knight, a tribute to the 8-bits era adventures, or Mighty No. 9 and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, two games destined to be the spiritual successors of fan favorite classic franchises such as Mega Man and Castlevania respectively, and that are being developed by their original creators, who released a campaign in Kickstarter to fund their new projects after abandoning their former companies to create their own studios, collecting more than four and five million dollars for their projects, proving like this that some classic franchises are far from being as dead as some companies want to make us believe, at least among the most veteran players. Well, in this new entry I bring you yet another indie game that was funded through Kickstarter, and although it might not have made as much noise as the games I mentioned before during its funding campaign, it called my attention since the very first time I saw it, as it transmitted that feeling that one cannot describe but that you only feel with certain gaming gems, for the game certainly shines in many aspects. I´m talking about Darkest Dungeon. Ready to travel to the deeps of darkness and madness?

¡Muy buenas a tod@s! Unas entradas atrás os hablé de Valdis Story, un “Metroidvania” que fue financiado a través de la cada vez más popular web de Kickstarter, una web dedicada al crowdfunding y de la que recientemente están saliendo varias joyas indi como es el caso del exitoso Shovel Knight, todo una oda a las aventuras clásicas de la época de los 8-bits, o de los próximos Mighty No. 9 y Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, dos juegos que están llamados a ser los sucesores espirituales de franquicias como Mega Man y Castlevania respectivamente, y que están siendo desarrollados por los creados originales de dichas franquicias, que decidieron lanzar una campaña Kickstarter para financiar estos proyectos tras abandonar sus respectivas compañías, llegando a recaudar ambos la friolera de más de cuatro y cinco millones de dólares respectivamente para sus proyectos, dejando así bien patente que muchas franquicias clásicas están lejos de estar tan muertas como algunas grandes compañías quieren hacernos creer, sobre todo entre los jugadores más veteranos. Pues bien, en esta nueva entrada os traigo otro juego financiado a través de dicha web, que aunque puede que no haya hecho tanto ruido como los juegos que he mencionado, me llamó la tención desde el primer momento que lo vi, pues transmitía esa sensación que uno no puede describir y que solo transmiten ciertas joyas, y es que ciertamente el juego supura calidad y personalidad en todos y cada uno de sus aspectos. Os estoy hablando de Darkest Dungeon. ¿Listos para adentraros en las entrañas de la oscuridad y la locura?

Hello everybody! How is everything going? Having fun with the adventures I introduced to you until now? Did you help the English to free Mars from the evil Spanish conquistadors and their alien allies? Did you already bring back justice the streets of Metro City? Did you help Bunny to purge the world from the presence of perverted vampires with fire-spitting ding dongs? No, please! Don´t you answer all at the same time, you might collapse the server of the blog... Anyway, here I am one more entry ready to bring you another of those games that deserves a little bit more recognition in the video game world due to its quality, even though this time it´s a game that could be somehow “morally and ethically” controverter depending on the point of view of the reader. The game I´m talking about is Vanguard Princess. Ready to see a few pantie... I mean, to deliver some punches...

¡Muy buenas a tod@s! ¿Qué tal va todo? ¿Cómo os lo estáis pasando con las aventuras que os he ido presentado hasta ahora? ¿Bien? ¿Estáis ayudando a los ingleses a liberar Marte de las garras de los malvados conquistadores españoles y sus aliados alienígenas? ¿Habéis limpiado ya las calles de Metro City a base de jarabe de palo del bueno? ¿Habéis ayudado a la pobre Bunny a limpiar el mundo de vampiros pervertidos? ¡No, no! ¡No contestéis todos a la vez! Que me vais a saturar el servidor del blog... En fin, aquí me tenéis otra entrada más dispuesto a hablaros de otro juego que creo que se merece un sitio en el mundo de los videojuegos por su gran calidad, aunque en esta ocasión sea un tanto “moral y éticamente” controvertido dependido del punto de vista del lector. El juego es cuestión es Vanguard Princess. ¿Listos para ver unas cuantas braga...? Digo, para dar unas cuantas hostias...
