Hello everyone! In the last entry I talked about Crimson Gem Saga, a JRPG inspired on the classics from the 16/32-bit era, and in this entry we are going to travel back in time even further. To be more precise, we are going to travel back till the magical 8-bit era, an era full of blocky pixels and catchy chiptunes that would mark the beginning of our virtual adventures for many of us, and in which many classics that still influence the industry nowadays were born, such as Mario Bros, Dragon Quest o Final Fantasy among many others.

En la última entrada os hablé de Crimson Gem Saga, un JRPG venido directamente de la época de los 16/32 bits, y para esta nueva entrada vamos a viajar aún más atrás en el tiempo, exactamente hasta la mítica época de los 8 bits con la que muchos nos criamos, y en la que nacieron muchos clásicos que siguen influenciando la industria a día de hoy, tales como Mario Bros, Dragon Quest o Final Fantasy entre otros.

Hello everyone! How are those sorcery and witchcraft lessons going? For this new entry I bring you a title that will surely please all the fans of classic JRPG games, for the game follows one by one all the rules established in the genre during its golden era in the 16/32-bit generations. To many this will be just but a fossil from past generations that refuses to disappear, but to many others it will be another proof that there is still space (and need) for classics titles in the game industry, and if not you can ask the guys from Shovel Knight. The game itself is called Crimson Gem Saga. Let’s see what this small gaming gem inspired on the titans of the genre that once ruled the videogame industry has to offer.

¡Hola a tod@s! ¿Qué tal van esas clases de magia y brujería? Para esta nueva entrada os traigo un título que seguro encandilará a los fans los JRPG clásicos, pues sigue a pies juntillas todas y cada una de las pautas marcadas por los grandes títulos del género durante su reinado en la época de los 16 y 32 bits. Para algunos probablemente solo se tratará de un fósil de una generación que se niega a desaparecer, pero para otros será otra prueba más de que sigue habiendo lugar para los clásicos en esta industria, y si no que se lo digan a los chicos de Shovel Knight. El juego en cuestión se llama Crimson Gem Saga. Veamos qué nos ofrece esta pequeña joya inspirada en los titanes que una vez reinaron con total autoridad sobre el mercado.
