Hello everyone! How is it going? Did you try already Grand Kingdom, the RPG game of which I talked about in the last entry? In this new entry I’m going to talk about another game made in Japan that, just like Grand Kingdom, reminds a lot of other titles developed by Vanillaware. The game is called Earth’s Dawn. Para esta nueva entrada traigo otro juego hecho en Japón que, al igual que Grand Kingdom, recuerda mucho a algunos de los títulos creados por Vanillaware. Hello everyone! Happy New Year! I know, I know, a bit late, but the start of the new year was a bit hectic for me… So how is the new year treating you so far? All good? Did you try already Owlboy, the classic style 2D adventure of which I talked about in the last entry? If you still haven´t, I strongly recommended you to do so, especially if you like 2D adventures. Just like I finished last year talking about a very special game (or at least very special for me), I decided to start this new year talking about other special game, a game that drew my attention right from the first time I saw it, especially due to its similarities with some of the titles of one of my favorite developers, my beloved Vanillaware. In this blog I have already talked about several JRPG games such as Nostalgia, Sands of Destruction, Crimson Gem Saga, Legend of Legacy or Suikoden Tierkreis, and Tactic JRPG game such as Luminous Arc, Valkyrie Profile, Onimusha Tactics, Mercenaries Saga 2 or Vanguard Bandits, but this time around I´m going to talk about a game that mixes elements from both styles, and event elements from table top games and management games, to create it´s very own style. The game is called Grand Kingdom. Let´s see what this new jewel of the JRPG genre has to offer.

¡Hola a tod@s! ¡Feliz Año Nuevo! Un poco tarde, lo sé, pero he tenido un inicio de año algo ajetreado... ¿Qué tal vuestro inicio de año? ¿Habéis echado a volar ya con Owlboy, la aventura en 2D de corte clásico de la que hablé en la última entrada? Si no es así, os recomiendo que lo hagáis, sobre todo si sois amantes de las aventuras en 2D. Al igual que acabé el año hablando de un juego especial (al menos para mí), he decidido empezar este nuevo año hablando de otro juego muy especial, un juego que al igual que Owlboy me llamó la atención desde el primer momento que lo vi, sobre todo por su gran parecido a otros títulos de una de mis desarrolladoras favoritas: mi amada Vanillaware. En este blog he hablado ya de varios JRPG como Nostalgia, Sands of Destruction, Crimson Gem Saga, Legend of Legacy o Suikoden Tierkreis, y varios Tactic JRPG como Luminous Arc, Valkyrie Profile, Onimusha Tactics, Mercenaries Saga 2 o Vanguard Bandits, pero en esta ocasión traigo un juego que mezcla elementos de ambos estilos, e incluso elementos de juegos de tablero y juegos de gestión, para crear un juego con un estilo muy propio. El juego en cuestión se llama Grand Kingdom. Veamos qué nos ofrece esta nueva joya del rol japonés.

Hello everyone! Did you try already the wacky combats of Shin Goketsuji Ichizoku: Bonnou Kaihou, the 2D fighting game of which I talked about in the last entry? The New Year is already just around the corner, and you can feel all the “magic” typical of this special season, so for this new entry I’m going to talk about a very special game, a game that caught all my attention right from the first time I saw it a few years back. The game is called Owlboy. Let’s see what this new pixel marvel has to offer after a long and difficult development process that took almost a decade to complete.

¡Hola a tod@s! ¿Habéis probado ya los alocados combates de Shin Goketsuji Ichizoku: Bonnou Kaihou, el juego de combates en 2D del que hablé en la última entrada? El nuevo año está ya a la vuelta de la esquina, y en todas partes se puede sentir ya esa “magia” típica de estas fechas tan especiales, así que en esta entrada voy a hablar de un juego muy especial, un juego que también tiene su propia magia, un juego al que no he podido quitarle el ojo de encima desde la primera vez que lo vi. Ese juego se llama Owlboy. Veamos qué nos ofrece esta nueva maravilla pixelada que llega hasta nosotros tras un largo y tortuoso desarrollo de casi un década.

Hello everyone! So did you try already Oceanhorn, the “love letter” the indie Finnish team Cornfox & Bros dedicated to the Zelda series? If you love the Zelda series as much as the Finnish team seems to do, you should definitely give it a try. In this new entry I’m going to go back to the 2D fighting genre with a game that can be found among the catalogue of Sony’s legendary PlayStation 2. The game is called (catch your breath) Shin Goketsuji Ichizoku: Bonnou Kaihou. Let’s see what this wacky game hidden in the endless sea of titles available for Sony’s multimillion-selling machine has to offer.

¡Muy buenas a tod@s! ¿Habéis probado ya Oceanhorn, la particular “carta de amor” a la serie Zelda del equipo indi finlandés Cornfox & Bros de la que hablé en la última entrada? Si os gusta la serie de Nintendo tanto como parece gustarle al equipo finlandés, os recomiendo encarecidamente que lo hagáis. Para esta nueva entrada vamos a volver al género de los combates en 2D del que tantas veces he hablado en este blog con un juego sacado directamente del catálogo de la mítica PlayStation 2 de Sony. El juego se llama (coged aire) Shin Goketsuji Ichizoku: Bonnou Kaihou. Veamos qué nos ofrece este curioso juego oculto entre el enorme catálogo de la exitosa consola de Sony.
